im wondering what are a few of you guys thoughts should i do an early bronco dana 44 solid axle swap or try and build a bulit proof dana 35 ttb?? im running 33 baja claws (havent broke anything yet) i do alot of rugged trail driving not too much mud if i come across some i dont go around or turn around i just dont go looking for it. im just looking for some inputs and thoughts so SAS or TTB??

The D35 is stronger than all but the last couple years of EB straight axles, if you have the D35 and do the free mods (full circlips and clearancing) and maybe get the jeep hubs you'll have a strong setup other than wheel bearings but with just 33's that shouldn't be a huge issue

Take a look at my build if you need some ideas. Personally, I love my TTB. If you massage the suspension (and your wallet), you can end up with a GREAT suspension that will treat you well for many years.

TTB can can be a good axle, while you're at it do the D44 outers. That will make your TTB D35 just about as good as you can get. If you do rock crawling or serious offroad a sas would be the best way to go. It all just depends on what you are looking to do.
