SAS guys- Lets see those trac bar setups!

Here is a half assed picture of mine. Uses the 3 power steering box bolts and 1 in the bottom. I also have a brace that runs from the bolt that bolts my track bar on to the engine crossmember.

I have built 3 or 4 very similar to that one. Most people run there's directly under the frame but I wanted my track bar and drag link the same length.

Here is my work in progress.

And how it hangs down

im hoping to have mine done this weekend.

AKBroncoII, you have a side shot of that set up? The more pics the better from everybody. I was thinking that if we got a bunch of pics we get could get this stickied for future reference for anybody attempting a SAS.

No, I am sorry I do not. It uses the 3 bolts for the power steering box and one 3/8" self tapping bolt on the bottom. It is very strong. I use 3''x6''x1/4" rectangular tubing and a rubicon express joint that I had laying around at that end.

I keep looking at the various SAS setups and the trackbar is the one thing I keep forgetting about. But one of the guys in my club was over last night and we were discussing the F250 shock tower upgrade I'm doing, and we started talking about a D30 swap too. The mount like you mention is exactly what we were discussing. Though, I might just buy one of the various trackbar mounts and weld that to some plate to bolt in and support the steering box. All I need is a D30 now...
