Sampson's B3000 Future SAS Build

Ya I'm willing to bet most of that was from the last bundy trip lol.

sliders look good, and I still have mud like that from last Bundy trip. LOL

Well I haven't updated this in awhile. Haven't done much to the truck lately just some maintenance, I did front and rear brakes as well as unit bearings. I also changed the tranny and transfer case fluid. The fluid that game out of the tranny was black, don't know who changed it last but who ever did didn't do it right. I also went to the junkyard and got a explorer OHC and hood hinges.

My truck also got sprayed by the stupid sprinklers at my apartment complex which made me really mad.

Went and meet with escortgts yesterday and got some tube bent to finish up my bumper. I really like the way it came out.

I have fall break coming up in a few weeks so hopefully I can get some more work done on the truck then.

Well I fall break was today and yesterday so I had two extra days off to work on the truck. So I went home and did exactly that. I got the tubing painted for my bumper and welded it on. I really like the way it came out, the whole bumper needs to come off and be painted again but it will do for now.

I also had to fix a bunch of stripped out bolt holes that hold my front sway bar and skid plate on. I ended up using the threaded weld washers from ruffstuff. They are pretty cool but drilling 10 3/4in holes with a battery powered drill takes awhile since one battery only lasted about one hole.

That's a good looking bumper. Turned out really nice.

Thanks Ben, I though of an idea on what to use the rest of the tubing for. I was thinking of having two pieces of tubing come off the side of the bumper and go along the bottom of the body to the back of the rear wheel. I figured it would give me some protection for when the I come down off of obstacles.

Looks great!

Had a good time at bundy hill yesterdaywith escotgts and jsommers, I didn't break anything so that was good, I can't say the same for escot though. Added a few more scratches to the truck but who cares. Here are the pics I took. I took a few videos that I will upload later after I edit them.

Is it just me or are all of your videos in reverse? Like you are backing up the whole time. haha.

Maybe I'm just losing my mind.

Edit: nope, never mind. Definitely not in reverse. Just way back on the rear bumper with a wide lens haha.

You wheel without a gas tank skid plate? I don't think it would take much to puncture one if you got hung up

I have wheeled 4 years with out a fuel tank skid. They are tough little things.

^IDK how..

Seems that some people get away with it. Your truck isn't the nicest on the block so I know you abuse it. Odd how when you try to break things it doesn't happen.

Ha. This is so true.
