Sampson's B3000 Future SAS Build

Well I finally got around to putting a new door on my driverside. The fit isn't that great since the fender is messed up, but it shuts and doesn't leak like the other. The color is off a little aswell but I don't care, its only noticable up close in the light. I also started making my half doors, I took the driver door I took off and chopped it up. I got a new air pressure gauge for xmas, so I got that installed. It lights up unlike the last one.

I live in Toledo and we got quite a bit of snow a few weeks ago, one day it was -35 with the wind chill and the truck started right up.

Not my car

I ended up pulling this guy out after he dug out a way to the door, truck barely knew it was back there. Guy gave me 20 bucks for it.

Can't wait to see how the half doors turn out! Looks pretty good so far

Thanks guys, I'm excited to get the half doors done and put on.

Are you gonna add cushions to the tops of the half doors to rest your arm on?

I hadn't planned on it but I guess I could. I was just going to weld in some sheet metal I bought to make it flat across maybe with a cup holder.

I've seen them before like that, but I could imagine the metal would be uncomfortable and get hot in the summer, so by adding some padding or something would make it more practical.

Eh, I would just make it flat (cup holder would be a bonus). That way you are more temped to keep your arm inside where its safer.

Edit: Plus it will be awkwardly low for an arm rest lol

Half doors/tube doors are on my list, but full power doors mean I have 20+ wires running to each door.lol

Where I cut it is pretty close to height where the arm rest is on the door panel.

My doors have a big connector behind the kick panel, and the new to me ones were power and had the big connector too. So I just unplug one and plug in the other, they are kinda hard to get to but can be done once the door is on. I would assume yours would be the same as mine.

Did some more work on the truck last weekend since in warmed up some to the upper 20's with no wind. That felt warm compared to what it has been, anyways I finally got my block heater and battery warmed working. At some point the plugs had been ripped or cut off so I added two new ones.

We also got a good amount of snow on Monday night and Tuesday and this was my truck after. Made it out of my spot in 2wd but spent 10 minutes cleaning my truck off.

Had to park next to this heep at school to show how its done.

Is half of that just your fancy mirrors? ?

Maybe... there are only 7 for each mirror...then there are power locks, dome light, speakers, power windows, and OEM theft/alarm
