Sampson's B3000 Future SAS Build

Ya I know I kept on putting it off lol.

School will make you do that haha. I didnt really start mine until after I graduated.

Well I did a little work over the weekend, not much but important. First I extended the battery box and made a new hold down since my new yellow top is bigger then the battery tray. I also changed out the power steering pump cause Bundy Hill took its toll on it on the last trip, it was whining like crazy. Wasn't to bad changing it except I couldn't get an impact on the puller to get the pulley off. This weekend I plan on making my sliders, hopefully I don't have to work to much Saturday cause Sunday I'm going to a baseball game. Anyway on to the pics.

Well I went the the TRS roundup last weekend at Southington Off Road Park. It was a pretty nice place, I had never been there before. I got some more body damage too, it's weird all the damage is on the drivers side. Nothing on the passenger side lol. I also am very close to finishing my sliders, just need to paint and weld them on.

I really like this truck

looks like a solid plan to me.

Thanks guys, hopefully I can get her all cleaned up tomorrow and try and pop out my new body damage.

Good luck. There is a support for the stake pocket right behind there that screwed up my volley ball placement when I tried to pop mine out.lol

i fawked up a few basket balls before i just gutted it to basic skins and bulged it front and rear which makes them much easier to wrinkle and unwrinkle

Well I got it mostly poped out, I used a soccer ball at first but it was to big and I couldn't get it far enough up into the fender so I used a mini basketball but ended up blowing it up lol. Also went to the car wash is got it pretty clean, I still want to wash it by hand.

The mini basketball I blew up.

My truck next to my one roommates two wheel drive sonoma.

When is the Sonoma going to get an SAS? :icon_thumby: :icon_welder:

Not for another year or so, I still need to rebuild the axles and buy a few more parts. I did buy an ARB locker for the rear, so now I have a ARB's for both axles. I did get my sliders mostly done last weekend, still need to add a few gussets to the frame side mounts. I also took my tcase skid plate off for the first time in awhile and there was a ton on mud on it.

You could plant something in that!

I know it was a good half to three quarters of an inch thick lol.

Mine looked just like that after the last Bundy trip
