Saginaw PS Pump on a '99 4.0l?

Has anyone had experience installing a Saginaw PS pump in a '99 4.0 Ranger supercab 4x4? Is the procedure similar to what is outlined on the Tech Forum and it is OK with rack and pinion steering?

I'm really looking to be rid of the groaning pump. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

No experience with the 4.0 but I have one on my 98 3.0 and it makes for effortless/quiet steering.

I'm putting a saginaw steering pump on my 92 next spring and getting parts together in the mean time. Yours may be a bit different but these sites could help.
