Sagging leaf spring fix, Correct shock length?

Stock 85 BII, leafs sagged reaalllly bad. Took a couple measurements to compare the back to the front: Ground to the top center of the wheel well --> Rear= 29.5 inches; Front = 32.5 inches.

To fix the sag and bring it up level + slight rake, I added 3" lift blocks... Looks cool. New measurement in the back 34 inches right after we set it down; 33 inches after driving around a little bit.

Here's the problem, it looks like the new stock (length) shocks i installed are too short now. How could this be possible? I'm kinda scratching my head here, b/c it doesn't look like it has enough extension in it (maybe 1 or 2 inches tops).

Does that sound about right? My concern here is that if the travel is too limited, i'll bend/break my upper shock mount.

Let me know what you think. Thanks guys.
