Safari Pacific MX2 Build

The MX2 is FOR SALE

I've decided its time for me to move on to other projects. This truck has served me well. So far the truck has been to the Arctic Circle, Key West, FL, Mexico City and the Sema Show to name a few places. More details about the at http://therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1252275

The next project....

Back in February of 2010 I started fabricating a chassis for a new ground up vehicle build. The design was in development far before that and has been a work in progress since then. Although the build itself was put on the shelf for a while, the concept wasn't. Slight design changes have been made here and there, aiming to build the absolute best vehicle. As the first build under Project R, I've dusted off the plans and I'm turning this into a community project. The off-road community as a hole will have far more knowledge than just one person.

I have the main build thread here... http://safaripacific.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=126

Looks cool. The body has a kind of Wrangler/H1/Landcruiser thing going on.

I went to the website and wanted to leave a comment. Tried to register and it kept telling me that the user names I was trying to use were disallowed, so I'll just comment here.

I really like to truck concept. It would be neat if the roof/back glass were removable like the wrangler/landcruiser. From the renderings it appears you are thinking of using full independent suspension, is this true or was it just the drawing? I recently flipped through some car magazine and saw where an axle company had started making independent D60 thrids and shafts for the Dodge Charger/Challenger; might be something to look into if you are indeed going full independent.

looks like a stretched 4dr wrangler with a hardtop.... good idea though. h1?

A lot of pages...
