I have a 1990 Ford Ranger STX 4WD with a 2.9L
V6. It has a 5 spd. manual transmission. I would like to know what type of fluids go in the transmission and in the rear end.

Thanx

Your local auto parts store could tell you. They can also tell you how much to put in there if you are replacing it.

the trans takes atf, the axles take 75-90 or 80-90 gear oil.

Not necessarily... It could take 80-90 as well, depends on what transmission is in it... Most certainly don't change it until you know what transmission it is... Look in the Tech Library... It will show you how to ID your transmission and tell you what kind and how much fluid it takes...
