I have a problem. My 85 bronco 2 2.8l carbonated runs rough. It doesn't seem to matter whether it is cold or warm. What fixes it is when I floor the gas for a couple of seconds but then it will start again a couple of minutes later. I have busted the inside of my catalytic converter and emptied it all out already so I am pretty sure that it is not the problem. I am thinking either the muffler is clogged or what I was wondering is if it could be the erg valve? It also smokes alot (black smoke) when I floor it when it acts up. I just want some other opinions on it since it is -20 outside and I want to make sure I am in the right direction before I work on it. Also the air pump does not work and the metal lines for the air pump are rusted through and busted (was like that when I bought it). thanks for any help
