Running rich, need guidance.

Look at the VIN, in windshield corner or drivers door label

8th digit is engine type/size
U = 3.0l gas only
V = 3.0l Flex Fuel

The computer is different and so are the injectors, these must match or you will get lean or rich codes, depending on the mismatch
Flex computer with gas only injectors = Lean codes
Gas only computer with flex injectors = Rich codes

VIN will tell you which computer you have, unless you think its been swapped

I think only the 1999/2000 Rangers had the fuel sensors

Then you have a gas only 3.0l and computer, and no fuel sensor, so you should be using the smaller injector size, flex fuel injectors would cause Rich codes

Injectors are not like Jets on a carburetor, so larger injectors won't give more power, it will just cause Rich codes

1F1Z9F593DA I think this is a flex injector, which will be my whole problem. I went back and looked over the description and it never says gas/flex anywhere. I'll clean the old set and put them back in.

Yes that is a Flex Fuel injector part number, you would need a flex fuel computer(PCM) to use it
It would cause Rich codes if used with a gas only PCM

This was my purchase, best I can do for you.

REPORT TIME: Again lol, keeping my fingers crossed but real hopeful. Nothing worse than a self inflicted wound. Last night and this morning I got the old injectors cleaned up and showing a good spray pattern. I installed them this morning and fired up. Smooth as can be, no issues. (Did forget the vacuum line behind the TB under side of intake) So just one issue lol. Drove to work, 12 miles, no gas smell, did not see the gas gauge move today (Thank God) no stutter, no stumble, and has good power. I even ran her up to 80+ with not much effort. I hope this was the end for a while. I don't mind working on it, it was just the being stumped part that kills me. I thank every one of you that have helped, y'all really did, especially the education. If it stays doing good I will install the new intake and TB. Thanks again.

Good work (y)

Thanks for the update
