This just started, runs poorly at low rpm's, then is fine at higher rpm's also horrible exhaust smell at low rpm. Barely runs at idle, smell unburned gas also. Idea's of where to start? Thanks

Sorry, 93, 2.3. Now oil smoke too.

Just finished 80 mile trip home. Runs fair over 3000 rpm, has "chugging sounds" below that, no power, at times heavy oil smoke out exhaust, lots of carbon inside tailpipe that was not there this morning.
Timing? Sensors? Other internal part failure? Will take some doing to check timing as last at mechanic came back with broken timing cover front and back half has top missing, so no timing marks!
