i have a 94 ranger XLT, motor size, 2.3. all the basic you can think of. i seen a post about other rangers running lean, and i about to try the carb cleaner trick to see if it might be a intake leak. the goofy thing out of all this is, i live in cali, i have to get my truck smogged. i do not have a check engine light on, the truck runs dam good, no loss of power, but i always fail smog cause they say im running lean and they cant or wont tell me why, i put on a new cat, o2 sen, new plugs, checked all vaccum lines. how would i find out how or where or why its running lean? any help would be great. thank you.
