Hey All,

Simple question. Are all radius arm bushings the same? Basically, I have Skyjacker arms and I want to know if I can replace the poly bushings with rubber ones from Moog. The part is meant to be a stock replacement and I am unsure if they would work on an aftermarket radius arm application.

Let me know.

The bushings are the same. The moog rubber ones will work fine on your Skyjacker arms. And they'll be less squeaky. :icon_thumby:

Thanks for the reply. I see lots of posts of people saying that they do poly for virtually everything, except the radius arm bushings. I will have my front end out soon anyway, so I think I may replace these too.

Poly is nice because it doesn't deflect as much. So you get better handling and feel at the cost of a smooth, soft and quiet ride. On the radius arms, the rubber bushings are good if you are looking for more movement as you'll get more flex. As least in theory. Whether poly ones restrict movement enough to limit flex may not be confirmed.

This is with all urethane bushings & extended radius arms:

It's possible there may be some reasons to use rubber (possibly price?), but more flex or articulation is not among them (not if you have extended arms anyway).

Well there you go.

I have a dum questions,I have a set of poly radius arm bushing, and they didn't come with instructions. Never had to replace them before, what order dose this shit go in?

Same order as the OEM bushings you are replacing. If you're clumsy or forgetful like me, take a picture before disassembly.

Is it truly that's simple. All my exploded views show round (not conical) bushing and flat washers...

Once you disassemble it, it will make sense.

Looking at their relative positions from top to bottom in your picture, they go on as follows:

Item #4 (dished washer) goes onto the radius arm stud first (concave side faces rearward).
Item #2 (large bushing) goes on next (cone part facing forward).

Radius arm then goes through the hole in the frame bracket.

Item #3 (spacer) goes on next (wider opening side faces against the frame bracket), followed by
Item #5 (smaller bushing). Finally,
Item #1 (flat washer) goes on, followed by the radius arm locknut.
