anybody ever tried a set of the dunlop rover mts... i know there not the best but for a buck fifty a tire they seem pretty decent...

A friend of mine runs Mud Rovers. Seems like a decent tire, though his latest set are peeling some weird thin layer of rubber off the sidewalls in spots, though it's not exposing anything vital such as the cords.

treatwrights seem to be a really good tire i dont have a thing against retreads at all thats actualy what im running now but i did some math and it would only save me about 10 bucks comparing to the rovers i dunno guess ill do some more searchin

i had a set of 30x9.50x15 on my 1990 and 96 4x4s. really good tire. throw mud like crazy. i never had any problems with them, aint too loud going down the hiway, and wear better than i expected.

i had dunlop rover rvxts, i know, a different tire, but awesome in the mud for a little bit more aggressive than an a/t tire. the thing is they were built up in the middle and wore out in 15000 miles! by that time each one had at least one or two bumps in the sidewall, which was really thin. i saved one tire for a spare, and within 2 weeks the tire was flat, thought i just needed to fill it. well, i went to fill it and the side wall had a knot in it the size of a grapefruit and was inflating only that part like a balloon! almost exploded. i think mud rovers look awesome, but i would stay away from dunlop for a specialty tire. they had tons of problems with their runflats also. it seems like they use cheap rubber or something. thats another thing, my tires were like a bright brown within a month! looked like they were almost dry rotted.
