Round electrical plug at back of engine purple and orange wire

Can’t figure out where this plug should go. Wires are purple yellow stripe and orange yellow stripe. Can’t locate the other end for this plug at all. Any help is appreciated.

All Rangers are wired for Automatic transmissions, if you have a Manual trans then that connector was probably for Auto trans
I have similar on my 1994 4.0l Manual
Never look at wire colors, and mine has a plastic plug inserted in it

Thanks Ron, it is s Manual. No plug though. I won’t worry about it.
