So I had a spare ecu from an 88 ranger with manual transmission put it in and made no difference still turned on then turn off after maybe 20 seconds. Pretty stumped tbh basically every sensor is new, new plugs and wires, cap and rotor all new pumps, regulator is fine, 35 psi of fuel pressure the entire time, timing set perfectly at 10 degrees with spout disconnected. Gotta love it lolOn the computer pin 45 was for MAP and also used the 5volts from pin 26, most sensors share that 5volt pin 26 wire, like the TPS
EEC-IV pin numbering here: http://www.auto-diagnostics.info/ford_eec_iv
Its a later model computer shown, MAF sensor, but pin 26 is the same in 1989, pin 45 was MAP sensor in 1989
I believe thats a ground pin. Could definantly cause weird issuesBig update I took my ecm off and there’s a broken connector stuck in the big loom you unbolt
