I have an 88 ford bronco II that idle up and down when I come to an stop. I have to hit the gas pedal to high rpm for it to stops but it only stop it for several seconds. I have tried to clean the Idle Air Control valve and it didn't work at all. I have put Lucas oil in my gas tank and it didn't solve the problem. I am at a stand still and don't know what else it could be. Any suggestions from where i go from here will be helpful. Thanks:beer:

Could be a lot of problems....fuel filter, bad plug or plug wire, etc. When was it last serviced and how many miles on it? If you can't figure it out yourself you need to get it diagnosed at a shop.

Try to get the codes if there are any. I worked on mine for a year and finally gave up on getting to idle right...sometimes it idles perfect, other times not,but runs decent otherwise. +1 on what straycat said....if ya can't figure it out have it diagnosed instead of throwing parts at it and replacing things ya don't need.
