Rough Idle

I've been having idle problems with my 3.0 V6. Idle will become rough after awhile. Like waiting in a drive through line. Check Engine light will flash until I rev engine for short time till engine smoothes out. Check Engine light on analyser shows #6 plug. When I first had this problem I did some troubleshooting by changing the plug and swapping wires with no joy. Can anyone give me a direction in which to go.

Bad injector? I had an injector go and it ran rougher than hell, but oddly didnt trip the CEL.... Maybe coil pack?

Yeah I'd say coil pack or injector, more then likely its the coil pack and the #6 went out.

I was wondering about our coil packs because I didn't know if it was a slave spark system like GM's where two cylinders run off one coil or if each plug was independent... Do you have a spark tester? I picked mine up for about $5 bucks and its a helpful little tool for ruling out ignition.

you may have figured out your prob but like the other posters said i would check to see if you're getting fuel to that cylinder.. if it was a faulty coil pack i would THINK you'd have probs on other cylinders but i know it's situational..
