My 4" suspension lift has been installed on my 1996 B4000 for 4-5 months and the front coils are already sagging, not to mention the immense body roll when turning the steering wheel back and forth at a standstill.

Anyways, where can I get a set of coils that are the same size as the ones currently on my truck? I don't want to buy from RC again, their "value" has really shown. Thanks guys

And I am assuming that these are of better quality than Rough Country?

Also, I have read about RC's springs being stiff, but mine are anything but. I can rock the truck violently with my two hands and an average amount of force. Is this normal? They seem super soft!

soft springs=flex

as for your "body roll while turning the wheel while stopped" that's 100% absolutely normal, your truck did it stock, the day it came out of the factory

Does OME make stuff for Rangers? I installed there springs and such on my liberty and I am VERY impressed.

don't believe so... ome is a company of allpro, who does not support any ford vehicles, as far as i know

Bummer. The Old Man Emu stuff is truly top-notch.

that's what i hear... my local club does group buy's for ome, allpro, arb, marlin and trasharoo, and a good chunk, probably 50% of each buy is ome stuff

OME turned my shitty Liberty front suspension in to a bulletproof monster. Well, Jeepin by Al helped too with the upper control arms.

Skyjacker is definitely good stuff. I had a set of Rancho coils go to isht in barely a year, and the Skyjackers I replaced them with have been flawless even after 4 years now.

The rocking when turning the wheel at a standstill may or may not be normal.
It is normal for the body to lean some as the wheels are turned from lock-to-lock due to the steering axis inclination of the front wheels, though a severely jacked-up steering linkage can inflict a rocking motion without actually turning the wheels at all... Maybe a little clarification on exactly what it's doing is needed here.

My truck rocks easily turning wheels. It's normal. It's a light truck, so our weight pushing down on one side of hood also causes it. Stiff would be bouncing on an f250

I work at an offroad shop in New Jersey... We won't touch Rough Country for liability issues because some of their stuff is that chincy.

May I suggest BDS. They sell a 4" kit and all their parts have a lifetime warranty. It may be a little pricier compared to some kits but we've had great luck putting them on and they always have replacement parts in stock.

Old Man Emu stuff is amazing, but unfortunately they don't make a kit for Rangers like someone else said. There is another company called Iron Man 4x4 that is like ARB, but I can't comment on their quality. All I know is that everything looks just like ARB and its made in Australia.

BDS uses a drop-plate extension just like Rough Country uses (known to bust open the front diff housing).

I would suggest sticking with Skyjacker or James Duff if you want quality. For those on a tight budget, Tuff Country isn't too bad, though of course it's not on the same level as the SJ or JD kits.

my truck got a 6" skyjacker kit for a couple a years now...being abuse and they still look good ( except for the paint on it hehe )
