Rotting Chassis ~ what to do?


id replace the frame.. not that hard to do, take a week end if you got the tools and a place to do it.




instead of replacing the frame( it is a VERY DANGEROUS slope to be on because you will want to sandblast and paint it and WHILE YOU'RE THERE....:icon_welder:) i would find a good solid truck and keep this as a parts truck...much safer option so that this doesnt turn into a full-blown project...

For the DIY hardware getters from left to right (and I am a dumbass, and forgot to order the torque lock nuts...):

Spacer: 2.195" square x 0.187" thick
Shim: 0.091" thick (about the same plan size as the spacer)
Retainer (upper): 0.110" thick x 1.94 OAL (plan size is 2.675 circle) it's threaded to match the bolt
Cushion upper: 2.500" diameter x 1.065" thick
Cushion lower: 2.375" diameter x 0.875" thick (including bonded 0.080" washer same diameter)
Mount bolt - Rad core: 4.595" OAL / 4.120" LUH x 0.460" diameter 15TPI / ETA: This is a metric bolt. 9mm x 1.75TPMM
