ok so i need new pads and rotors am i am looking at getting drilled and slotted ones. are they worth the money or not. any advice on this would help . thanks

How much driving do you do a week? How hard are you on your brakes? Do you carry any loads? Whats your budget?

ok i got a pretty open budget for this and my driving for each week varies from week to week some weeks i barely drive others i put on 200 miles. i try not to brake hard but sometimes i got nbo choice. i do carry some loads i pull my 14 boat around but thats not to heavy at all.

ive always heard good things about EBC. not sure if they have rotors for the 01's though. i know they dont make any for a 93 which sucks

EBC makes rotors for your truck shop around and you can ge a set for a fairly good price compared to other brands but if you got the cash and wana spend it more power to ya

its not that i want to spend it its that the last set i got wore really quick and rusted bad so i dont want that to happen again

Check out this site autoanything.com, they got a bunch of choices but im like you idk what to get. I want crossdrilled are atleast slotted.

Also check ebay motors put in your year then brakes, theres a american made kit with pads and cross drilled rotors for like 150 and free shiping.

Drilled/slotted rotors aren't going to last any longer for you. They're designed to shed water or cool faster, neither of which are real problems in a typical truck application. They trade off total mass to do that, and often create warping problems in the process.

Slotted rotors do 99% of what drilled rotors are supposed to do without the tendency to crack.
