Rotor removal...

I had a really bad pad on my driver side front today and went to change them and it was worn down to the studs...I got them replaced but when I went to remove the rotor I couldn't get it to budge...I'm assuming this has something to do with the hubs....is there a lot of work to get the rotor off so I can get it turned down???

Any posts explaining how to do it?? I hit it with a mallet to try and knock it loose but it didn't move at all...

You have to remove the lock nuts that hold the wheel bearing on. Then it will slide off the spindle. You will have to remove the grease seal in the back of the rotor and clean all the grease out of the rotor hub. You can then have it machined or replace it. Repack the bearings with some fresh grease and replace the grease seal in the back of the rotor. Set up the wheel bearings and away you go.
