Roof rack update

I have had my Yakima Roof Rack (SST towers) for a very long time. I had them on my Subaru 3 door hatchback, my 97 Nissan reg cab Hardbody and now on my 99 Ranger. I decided several years ago to cut the bars down to 48 inches from the original 58 inches. Of course, this left the ends exposed and I painted them with satin black rust oleum paint and they looked great. You would never know they were cut down. I just did not like the way they stuck out so far from the truck. Something for air to grab!!! The only problem I had was that I could jot put end caps on them and searched a lot of places to find something for them. One day on Ebay last month I found some end caps that fit inside the bars and I thought... 'Duh'!!!! I did not think about that!!!! They are Livestrong (Lance Armstrong) accessories that fit on roof rack cross bars. I am so happy I found these. Check them out: Hope these photos show up....
