I dont have pics handy but i did similar with metal fence post and 1/8" x 2" plate. Welded the plate into a T that fit in the rain gutter. The post was welded to the small end of the T. Another piece i bent a 1/2" 90° to catch under the gutter and bolted them together.
A custom rack, built for the job is the only consideration. The stack racks are rated at for skis and an overnight bag if memory serves.
I grabbed one from the junk yard once before I looked up the load rating, never installed. I decided to drag a modest trailer if I ever needed more storage for a trek.
