does anyone know if there is a roof basket available for the explorers , i am lookin for one that mounts to the existing roof rack , i want one that i can mount 4 lights to , i also want to mount a hi-lift , shovel and spare tire on it , i know i can get the brackets for the hi-lift , shovel and tire. so , anyone have some info ?

yakima makes a rack for everything.

Either that or make your own? If you find a buddy with welding skills, or you make your own, you will get exactly what you want...

I was asking this at the local custom truck shop last year. They said they do carry one that would fit the factory rack...it's a universal mount basket. Can't forget the brand tho :dunno:

At least you know there IS one that will fit :D

Yakima Load Warrior and Mega Warrior if you want a bigger basket. Ebay has a bunch for sale and some good prices plus shipping!!!!

so, most of the roof baskets you find have an adapter for roof racks like the ex has. i know i have one for my b2 and it would be easy to make it fit to the luggage rack main bars of the ex.

Yakima made one sold through Ford for the Ex:

my girl is gonna want to take that home with us today :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl:

That was stock on the 2003 Explorer NBX: No Boundaries eXperience. Try to find one. :thefinger:

Its really just a Yakima Load Warrior with the extension and an Explorer sticker. Now, the pair of Explorer: No Boundaries folding chairs I keep in the back of the truck are easier to find.
