so the 3 i've looked at are all about the same price for the gallon bed liner kit. like $70ish. So of the Herculiner, duplicolor, and rustoleum? who likes which better, and why. From what i've seen im liking the duplicolor cause its much more textured and has a UV protectant. But i would like to see what you guys are doing and like some insight before i choose. Plus inside my bed is pretty beat up so i'll be trying to straightening it back out before i do this.

well then come on guys lets hear your input! we need answers!

i used herculiner and lets just say if you kidnapped a bum and put him in the bed and then did a road course he would have no skin left. very grippy. just make sure you scratch up the bed real good. i used a wire brush on a drill. just do multiple coats on it to build it up. otherwise i like it alot protects pretty good. oh and it gets everywhere and won't come out.....of your clothes, skin, or places on your truck you didn't realize got splashed.

is the finish a flat black? i dont want it glossy, that would look stupid. anybody done the duplicolor or rustoleum?

naw it is glossy at first but you just need to wash it out with a pressure washer a couple times and you are g2g

has no one tried this with the rustoleum or duplicolor? =(

All your postings are in the same day, slow down & be patient. Not everyone goes to each forum. It may take a day or two ,but to be on the safe side give it a week then chech back to see what others have to say

sorry bad habit of being impatient sometimes. But when i dont have any thing to do i just sit on here next to my tv

I used the duplicolor to do the interior of my truck and to say the least it sucks! when first applied, it is very grippy and looks great but after a few trips in and out with mud, dirt ect it wears down to a smooth surface. Theres no way i'd ever use it as a actual bed liner as it would get chewed up real fast, not to mention how thick you would have to apply it to even come close to what a spray in liner has for thickness. Ive had to redo the interior atleast 4times because of the grit just wears it down superfast. I honestly am not a fan of this crap anymore but i guess if the for the right application, it mite last a lil bit. i've been toying with using 2part epoxie for swimming pools next time, it can hold up to hundreds of gallons of water so why cant it last with mud and grimey shoes???- good thing i got a friend who own a pool business as that paint is not cheap and i'm sure he's got alot left over from jobs last summer.

i've used all 3.

best was Herculiner
second was Rustoleum. almost as good as the herculiner, but more expensive in the local store.
Duplicolor was complete waste of my money. even got a refund because it was so bad.

just my $.03

Yeah, that's what I've heard too. I'm using Herculiner fo sho!

guess i'll be going with herculiner. Im going to try to get it done this weekend and get good pictures and let you guys know how it goes. But i,ll be fixing my cracked armrest/ console thing, and installing my new rear shackles. So needless to say saturday is going to be busy busy busy!

i've used Herculiner twice once in my old 98 ranger which worked out well but the bed was always cover and had little use and the other was on my ex-father in-law truck which was uncoverd and got used alot and it started wearing off in spots in less then a year.

I've need to do my ranger now and have been debating on what to use that about duplicolor but it does look really cheap so i think i might go back to Herculiner. i have been looking at some diy spary in bedliners on ebay i might go that route also.

I agree, I use some duplicolor when I did my body lift to cover up the bed bolts and it just peels off with no use, **** duplicolor,
