Roll on bedliner?

Ya'll laugh if you want to, but for a light-duty bed treatment you can make a pretty decent bed coating with undiluted body paint, mixed with sawdust and a heavy dose of hardener added. Then just roll it on. Here's how mine turned out, and I'm very pleased with it:

looks good and sounds like a decent idea! how long has it been on there and how is it holding up? :icon_thumby:

Thanks. It's only been on for two weeks, so we'll have to see how it holds up. I have made a couple of trash runs to the dump, though, and so far it seems like it will work well.

Sounds like spam. The only posts you have done, if for it, and the only things I see on that product, are become a distributer (for quite a chunk of change). Nothing diyer.

How's that? It cost me three bucks for a roller. I already had the paint. The naturally-manufactured shredded-process cellulose texturing agent was swept up from the floor under my table saw, and sifted. Thanks, but I'll just stick with my BubbaLiner (TM).

it works if you prep right, just like anything else. if you do a half ass job on prep your gunna end up with a half ass conclusion. i have seen it done and it works. just clean everything really well.

I was in Walllyworld the other day and saw some type of canned roll on black liner for 10.00 on the clearance rack. I wonder?

Roll on is completely bad process,it is like brushing.spray on bedliner is best process.:yahoo:

roll on, brush on, spray on... any of those will work well if you do the prep and follow the instructions. have experience with all 3 and they all did well. for the difference in the money, i haven't seen that spray on is that much better really.
we did brush/roller on our fire dept. brush rig and it has done very, very well after 3 years ($100).
had the front of a vehicle sprayed to prevent rock chips and it did ok, but was uneven in color, fading in places ($300).
have my ranger with the spray on and it is fine ($500).
used some roll on where the bow and bottom of my fishing boat hits when landing and it is doing fine $40).
have used several different brands and the only one that was bad was the Plasticote. it was old and nothing in the can but the base... no plastic/rubber granules at all. got it on the "sale" rack at wally world. last time i do that as it was a real mess to clean off. should note that the company issued a very fast refund and also provided a gal of acetone to clean up the mess.

bottom line: doesn't matter so much which way you put it on as long as you do it right the first time, imho.

Not a good idea to choose roll on bedliner .It is not durable.colour peeled and scratches problem.I have qwikliner spray on bedliner and it works well.. The unique flexible, textured, non-porous lining is easy to clean and will not warp, crack or peel. http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1924&pictureid=8674

i know times are tough and we all need money, but i know i've seen enough of your "advertising for free" here. why not just put a big post with everything you want in it in the Vendor's Forum? just a thought.

btw, here in the USA, we spell it COLOR!!!
