Roll on bedliner?

Herculiner

I used herculiner on mine, used over a gallon and a half in a long bed ranger, the thicker the better, so far it has held up (about 6 months).

Got a compressor??? Spray your own
http://www.tptools.com/p/2600,233_U-Pol-Raptor-Truck-Bed-Liner-Kit.html

Just as good as the professionally done name brand "Rhino Lining"

The kit comes with enough to spray an 8ft bed, It also comes with the special gun to spray it with.

My boss uses this stuff all the time with his other company, I used it on my hood. http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25883

It goes on really easy, stays flexible, cleans easily, doesn't fade like others, makes an awesome undercoating, and it's cheap. Around $100

It also comes "clear" so you can add your color paint to it and have it match your body.

**EDIT** We don't get it from that company, we use our own paint/supplies warehouse. That's just the first one that had it when I did a Google search.

Are you able to get it cheaper through your paint/supplies company? And could you hook a brotha up?

BTW--- Your ranger hood looks damn good. How many of the bottles from that kit did you use and how thick was it?

Thanks, and I wish I could get better deals for other people... but that's a long story.

My hood only has one bottle sprayed on it, but then I did this...

All together we used 2 whole kits on my truck. The roof has 3 coats, the wiper clowl has 1 coat, and the sides and flares have 5 coats. It's pretty damn thick.

Ok the truth about Line-x is its a good material but not worth the money.... i worked there for about a year and a half and seen what the material can do when sprayed thick enough but if not sprayed on thick as in the bed of a truck it will form to the metal as the metal bends.....all any bed liner is for is for protecting the metal from rusting if you use your bed you need to also through on top a plastic liner to take the abuse of the beating........

right now im prepping my trucks rockers to spray on some herculiner... the stuff is just as good of a material but doesn't have the xetremly time looking patteren as line-x does im useing i under coating gun to spray it instead of roaling it on as i did with my bumper.........heres a pic but not a great one to show how the roll on turns out and ive hit stuff with this thing and the herculiner has held up great

plasti-kote actually impressed me!
(5 coats on bottom, 3 on sides)

spray on bedliner

I have qwikliner spray on bedliner.Low Pressure" material is softer and more rubber like with a coarser texture. This makes it more slip resistant. Because it has a 15-20 second gel time it can flow into low places and fill them much better than "High Pressure" can. Due to "Low Pressure's" density and thickness, it is an excellent sound deadener. Body rattle and road noise are greatly reduced.thats why I love qwikliner:yahoo:

spray on bedliner qwikliner

I have Qwikliner and it works well. QWIK LINER Spray-On bedliner is industry proven to provide your truck bed with anti skid, permanent abrasion-resistant protection. The unique flexible, textured, non-porous lining is easy to clean and will not warp, crack or peel.:yahoo:

theres a very well put together article in the tech library forum about rolling on your own bed liner. Pictures and links included.

just got a full refund plus a gallon of acetone for free because the gallon of Plastikote bed liner was @*&$ ! it wasn't even black and had no rubber bits in it at all. came out like some kind of clear resin or oil that never dried even after 3 days in the sun! will probably take me another hour or two to clean it all off. i will say that their tech support was really good (it's a division of Valspar) and they responded very quickly to the voice message i left. so, no more of that stuff for me. back to the Herculiner for sure!

i'm thinking i will do herculiner... saw it on tv... plenty of good reviews...

because right now, my topper is only on because my rear slider is broken.. and somebody could just get in really easy...

once that is fixed the topper is coming off... oh wait.. the person who installed the topper put holes in the drop in bed liner to bolt the topper down.. instead of using c-clamps like a smart person would use... so if i take the topper off, rain will get in those holes super easy.

so i am gonna save up so i can get the rear slider fixed, and buy enough herculiner for the bed and roll the edges as well... do i need to prep the lower part of my truck if i want to put herculiner down there as well? there is gonna be rust spots... there are bubbles under the decal which is meant to look like a two toned paint job... (the body is the silver ish grey, and the decal is dark grey)

You can go to professional auto paint supply stores and they carry different types of spray on bedliner. You can get a cheap spray gun and get the liner color matched to your truck and they might be able to provide UV protection. The price is a lot cheaper than Line-X (mine cost $350). I don't like spending a lot of money, but I try not to skimp on quality. It doesn't get cost anything to check out professional supplies and they may deal and give a discount.

I worked in an autobody shop for two years, we always used raptor liner, we used it anywhere from a bed liner to a heavy duty undercoating. It only cost $100 (U.S.) it comes with four bottles adn the applicator gun. All you need to have is an air compressor. here is a link for u to check out.

Ya'll laugh if you want to, but for a light-duty bed treatment you can make a pretty decent bed coating with undiluted body paint, mixed with sawdust and a heavy dose of hardener added. Then just roll it on. Here's how mine turned out, and I'm very pleased with it:

Might be an option not yet considered, for those looking to freshen up their box on a budget. I spent 3 bucks on a roller; the bed treatment is otherwise included in the $218.09 total that I spent on repainting my old truck with tractor paint.
