Roll on bedliner?

I used Herculiner to coat the whole interior floor of an old CJ5 I used to have. Two coats and I was really happy with the results. I have pictures of it but they're on an old computer that's stored away in a closet upstairs right now. Not quite as good as the expensive spray-in stuff but if you're on a budget then Herculiner might be the way to go. Yeah, be sure to get the acetone stuff and use it for prep first.

I have used Herculiner. It does fade a bit. It also scrapes off fairly easy. I also did another. I think it was Plasticote or Duplicolor...can't recall which. I was not as rough as the Herculiner and it stood up better...no fading or scraping. It was a harder, shiny finish. The only negative was it chipped in a couple spots. Overall, it was better than Herculiner.

Prep is critical with either. It takes about 4x as long to prep as it does to put in on, if you do it right anyway.

I think I'm going to go with a Bedrug this time. The cost is about the same as the professional spray-on stuff (about $400), but I just think this looks like a better deal to me. I think it will protect the bed a bit better and I like the idea that it cushions the bed.

yea i dont have that kind of money....i think im gunna stick with herculiner since this isnt a show truck or anything, i dont even haul anything in the bed, im just trying to make my truck have better eye appeal. instead of a really scratched partially rusting bed:scare:. naw mean? i might do the factory fender flare things too. i think of it this way... i have black rims, black tool box, mostly black seat covers, (grey in em too) black carpeted sub box, gunna paint the grill black, so why not make the grey flares black as well? i think black and tan look good together. check out my cardomain pics and youll see what im talkin bout

I used Durabac on the inside of my BroncoII, very happy with the results. I spent hours prepping though. I also used duplicolor or plasticote , forget which one, on another project, cheaper but it got hard and flaked off in some areas.

The durabak brand is also in 15 different colors w or w/o the UV protectant & also you can get it in a smooth or textured finish
Heres there website if anyone wants to check them out

Perma Tech spray on is pretty good. $490 color matched to any color you want. I had it in my Dakota and plan on having it applied to my 2008 Ranger when I get it. Unlike most others the color and UV inhibitor is thoughout the material not just sprayed on top line LineX or Rhino Lining.

I used Herculiner for my cab floor. I preped it and did two coats. It looks pretty good after about a year. There are a few places that you can still see speckled paint through it but it still looks good. I still have at least a half gallon of it too. Also as a warning, there is another 99ish Ranger near me that used in to do a two tone paint job, the bedliner is on the bottom and it looks totally rediculous. I would not recomend painting it on the fenders and grill. I would use a can of black spray paint for those, it would look much better.

I've heard Herculiner is pretty decent but I don't know from experience. I would also use the UV protectant to keep it glossy looking. You can check out their website and go from there.

I would'nt mind trying it. It's about $100. Cheaper when compared to the others.

I got my herculiner kit on sale for $62 at northern tool and equipment

I called this morning for Line-X and it's $480 (canadian) You have to look at it this way. A plastic bedliner is about $400 (Canadian) so spending the extra $100 and have a lifetime warranty is more then worth it. You also won't have to worry about Line-x or Rhino liner getting up and flying out of the back of your truck

I spent $170 Canadian on a plastic drop in then another $150 on a lebra brand soft tonneau. I was quoted a ridiculous price for a spray-in and decided I liked the bit of shock absorbtion (and price) offered by the drop in better.

i rolled on two coats of the 90 dollar bedliner from walmart on the exterior of my truck.. it honestly held up okay but some areas peeled off real easy...

Got a compressor??? Spray your own
http://www.tptools.com/p/2600,233_U-Pol-Raptor-Truck-Bed-Liner-Kit.html

Just as good as the professionally done name brand "Rhino Lining"

The kit comes with enough to spray an 8ft bed, It also comes with the special gun to spray it with.

My boss uses this stuff all the time with his other company, I used it on my hood. http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25883

It goes on really easy, stays flexible, cleans easily, doesn't fade like others, makes an awesome undercoating, and it's cheap. Around $100

It also comes "clear" so you can add your color paint to it and have it match your body.

**EDIT** We don't get it from that company, we use our own paint/supplies warehouse. That's just the first one that had it when I did a Google search.
