i am looking for a good roll bar to fit into my truck. i tried 4wheel parts and they didnt have anything i was wondering some place where i could buy one for a good price.

craigslist... That's all I can think of.

MAYBE 4wheelparts, or someplace like that, but I doubt it.

I have been looking for a good 6 months for one as well. I have seen the most on eBay but there is still only on or two on there (if any). I think I'm going to pick up a cheap welder this summer and just make my own. I'd didn't take all those welding and fab classes for nothing!

yea i have looked on craigslist and not a bunch but there are some just not for the rangers. thanks for the ideas guys

since i rolled my ranger lastnight im wanting to build a rollcage for it but im not sure what kind of tubing to use any ideas? square or round? what thickness?

I would prob use 1 1/2 or 2" schedule 40 pipe.

square, you would have to miter the corners, which is weaker then making a rolled corner (or bent) with pipe

ok thx the reason i was thinking square was becase i could notch it bend it and weld it my self

When you bend square tubing, it kinda warps it, thus making it weaker. Im sure you can just buy elbows and weld them to pipe.

I stalked on craigslist for a year before I turned one up... for $20. I threw some bedliner on it and it was ready to go. It was a twin tube modular Smittybuilt.

I found mine on craigslist, $50, its for a fullsize GMC but thats what welders, chop saws, and grinders are for! :icon_welder: The damn thing is huge, was hanging off the side of the truck on the way home its so wide. I'm gonna fab it up and throw a couple KC Daylighters on top!

I also stalked Craigslist for about 4 months before I turned one up,the dude was pissed because I e-mailed him 3 times in one day but it was worth it,they were only $50 and the lights make a huge difference in the woods at night

Pretty much any roll bar for a midsize truck will fit, a full size can be cut down. Doubt you'll be able to find a new one...if anything it'll be way more money than you should pay. watch craigslist!

thanks for all the help i found a roll bar and im making it fit, just a little cutting and some welding and i should be good to go
