Got a few more pieces done yesterday.

Talking with Tracy about how I was going to do the back she thought it would be nice to have a seat in the back. So 5 bolts later and the back seat is out of her CJ7 and sitting on my truck to decide if it will work. Looks like it will work for people under about 5' tall. Should be perfect for our daughter who is 3 right now. I will need to pick up some more tube to finish as wasn't planning on adding a c pillar with cross bracing or a braced roof structure in the back.

I also smashed my thumb pretty good trying to get a piece of tube out of the bender. Any bets if I will loose my nail?

Hasn't fallen off yet. Hope I get some time around the 4th to work on it a bit. I want to run Swamp this summer with it.

That's always good! Did you put a hole in it to relieve the pressure? That's always fun lol.
I'm tryin to get my rig done by then too. I'll have the weekend off. If you want another rig to go with ya let me know!

I didnt have to put a hole in it. When I got my other thumb a few years ago with a framing hammer I had to. I will be pushing to get my truck ready this summer. At least we have my wife's CJ7 to take out.

Your truck is looking good. You have some good fab skills!

When you have minute, could you post a couple of pictures of your sliders? I need to make some for my truck, and am collecting ideas.

Thanks.

What specific are you looking for? Most of the pictures I have are in this thread. But depending on what you want I can take more.

great read! Looks like a heck of a trail rig too.

Got a few hours today to work on my truck. Worked on the outer tube frame. Between the two rear tubes is 38.5". That gives me enough room I can slide a spare tire in the back. I am still not 100% sure how the interior sheet metal of the bed is going to workout. Will be working on that next.

It looks like it would be a pain to fill up like that. Try the fill hose from a 1st gen. They have a decent bend.

A picture of your front mount. I see the rear clearly (it's easy with the bed removed!)

Thanks.
