ROCK AUTO

Does anyone use the Rock Auto website to order parts?

I have before, and they are a pretty decent online company. However I found some parts more reasonable on Amazon than R.A. If you have prime the shipping is free, unlike Rock Auto. If I were ordering basic parts, I'd choose Amazon. I got my front inner and outer bearings, a spindle nut and a grease seal on Amazon, they were Timken, as they are a good part company. The prices were significantly less than RA.
So I chose Amazon on that order. However, I will flip flop from Amazon to Rock Auto To eBay to my local mom and pop auto parts store.

I figured little things would be better on Amazon. My girlfriend has prime so I bought little things like cruise control switches. I haven't replaced the lock switches yet but it has to be done. They're not operating correctly. I removed the door panel and followed the wire to see if I could find any nicks. Seemed fine. First they both went out then only driver side then both now driver side again. I removed the panel and repositioned the switches four times and it honestly seems like a connector issue. Like if the contact points are corroded? If tap on the door they sometimes operate. I should have taken a picture of the connector pins and plate, not sure why I didn't but I'm not able to right now. The connector points reminded me of the build up around the battery positive and negative. Is there a safe way to clean that?

My Bronco was certainly built with RockAuto parts... I don't really trust scamazon or ebay to carry legit parts. Rockauto is still the cheapest around for authentic parts even with shipping.

"Scamazon" LMFAO. 😂👍😂

I've used them all. It all depends on the part(s) you are buying. Had one issue with RA, ordered a grille for my HB and got a 2wd Toyota truck grille. They sent another one out for my HB for free. Summit and Jegs returns are just as good.

Buying from Amazon, you really need to read the description from a small business.
