Anyone here like to take roadtrips?
Vanessa and I do. We got up one morning and decided to take a road trip. Ended up on the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC. We love just driving no place particular.
Anyways, I thought it would be cool to take TRS-2 on a roadtrip this summer instead of trailering it everywhere I go. It has a little hesitation to it, but I think it's an issue of needing new fuel injectors. Thought about changing the fuel injectors, fuel filter, plugs and wires and hitting the road. Not knowing the condition of the timing chain/oil pump is my only concern. Could be a lot of fun though.
I thought about heading across US30 and then up the coast on US1. Then I'd like to go across US6 on the way back. I'd like to hit some nice campgrounds and do some camping to save some money.
Anyone have any experience going up US1? Is it a nice drive? I want to stay off the interstate and enjoy the scenery more. That's why I'm sticking to US routes.
Since my truck is so old, I may need to get a list of members I can contact in case I break down somewhere.
Anyone ever do any long roadtrips in a high mileage Ranger?
