Road rage...

I was at a T intersection at top of t about to take a left cause someone was turning right so I wa able to turn finally. I go, guy behind them guns it going alot over speed limit. He tries to pass car going fast as it turns and notices I'm turning left, he slams his brakes on. His windows down miraculously in -5 degree weather, he's about 45 and angry I stopped his speeding trip. He's talking all this crap, stops his car like he wants to do something. So I stop and look at him rage in his seat. He puts his car in park so I do same he opens door and gets out, I open mine but only turn to side letting one leg sit outside truck. He walks by my door and goes to his POS station wagons back, opens it and grabs his tire iron. I'm still sittin half in truck just hopin he rushes door so I can open it in hisface. Instead he walks toward back of truck, I get out and go to walk by him but someone yelling get back in ur car and get atta here made sense to me. I got in drivers seat and before I can even fully sit down, I hear this loud a** bang. He hit the back of my truck with tire iron and cracked back light. I was like f this and walked fast but calmly towards him. He swings it, I block with my left forearm. Didn't even hurt and I thought wow what a weakling. So ice on ground boots on, but not tied I go to rush the guy and slip n fall haha. He went to swing at me as I fell and stopped for some reason. I get up and grab em in kind of a side headlock and hide my head beside his cause I really dont wanna pound his face in, and this way I can hide my head. He tries to back up and I lower his head to ground. People from nearby mechanic shop come over to break it up. I let go immediately and yelled something about if he's gonna grab a tire iron he better know how to fight. I left. Not caring that I didn't hurt him. I had control, I let go to leave. Besides, we were blocking both sides of road. I got home and looked at my forearm and realized I shoulda called and waited for cops as I may have a tiny hairline fracture. And I didn't notice with adrenaline pumpin but he hit me in shin and I choked him.
All in all, what part of this required a fight? I mean he had a tire iron and got it taken away, so obviously he needed a weapon to defend himself. I was embarrassed being 26 and fighting, this dude was 45 or older and he was aggrevater.

Like my dad always told me...if someone wants to start something, make sure you finnish it. I would've probably put it in reverse and held it to the boards when I heard the crack in the back end. I have no patience for ppl like that.

That's why I have a gun permit for a concealed weapon. I would only hurt somebody who was trying to hurt me or my family. But really.....The best
thing you could have done was leave as I would have. If the idiot came after me it would be too bad, so sad for him......
You should have waited for the police. Now he can say in his own defence if he calls the cops that YOU started the incident and you could have been the one who broke your on taillight and hurt yourself...see...these idiots get away with crap like this!!!!

I would have just left. Or called the cops and gave them his license plate. This guy is obviously a crazy, road rage induced moron, who thinks smashing in your taillight will solve a problem that he started. You probably had some witnesses on your side anyhow, the way you described the situation.

I gave up on tryin to knock sense into super-stupid people when I got back from the war....(I still wanna do it....I just know now that it's a waste of energy....and they usually lie so good that the police believe them instead of you....especially when it looks like they ran into a brick wall face-first)

Sorry about the way it's written. On iPhone. And yea I shoulda of drove off but as I was about to he hit my truck. And not to be racist but in the area I'm currently living in. It's 80% Spanish and the people who came to break it up looked more like they wanted to fight me because this "Poor" 45 year old Spanish guy attacked me with a tire iron. And I took him to ground. I regret not calling cops but my truck is registered and titled but I'm a month behind on inspection because I'm trying to get my rear parking break cables fixed before I get failed. Idk if they'd look at windshield and be like tow time. I was only white guy there. All Spanish all talking crap to me and I'm sick of this community, he thought he could act tough and hit my truck and I'd drive away crying like some people. Ive seen alot scarier things in my life then a 5"5 Spanish guy with a tire iron. I know Boone there would have said they seen anything. And I need my truck to get to college.

I'm in comp one in college was gonna make a thesis about pitbulls and fear people have because of bad owners. Now I'm gonna write about road rage. I'm so mad though, I barely ever miss a day at gym and this idiot can't use his fists. I had a knife but I don't grab anything I'm not willing to use, fists weren't even necessary for this guy. I had a guy freak out because I had the unmittigated gaul to pull out onto an EMPTY road just a split second before he came round the corner at three times the speel limit
in his Corvette.

This guy freaks out completely... finally when the road widens into two lanes he pulls up alongside and both he and his girlfriend are shouting and wildly gestulating finally after ignoring them for as long as possibly my passenger raises one finger in salute (you can guess which one) this asshole turns left from the right lane to follow me as I make a left...

At this point I
've had COMPLETELY enough of all the noise and in the 1976 Plymouth Volare I'm driving
which I really don't care about at all I make my left turn really WIDE and literally aim for the curb, leaving the guy in the corvette absolutely nowhere to go...

He bends some shit on the rioght front corner suspension hitting the curb and now he's absolutely ballistic gets out of his car and starts walking my way.
I simply drove off.

Now I'm a guy in my late 40's and if someone wants to pick a fight they should understand the old saying: "Never pick a fight with an older guy, he's probably

As for the tire iron dude, I have tons of potentially dangerous crap in my car/truck; screw drivers, hammers, steel pipe, tire irons, two by fours, I always have some combination of that stuff up front. I have hydraulic jacks, jack stands, 3 or 4 tire irons (I collect them!) all kinds of pipe and wood, breaker bars, a wooden baseball bat (you never know when you'll be driving down the road and get a sudden urge to play baseball!), 2+ ft long drill bits laying around the back. I have a folding military style shovel too

I wouldn't ever go looking for trouble; that's retarded. But, if someone thought they'd be funny and grab a tire iron out of their car to use on me, I'll be grabbing something bigger.
