road junk and other things

Hello how do you keep mud road junk and other things
out of holes under the doors? I just found this today
as i removed my side step rails and got a face full of
dirt. I'd like to find the guy with the blue locktight too.
all the bolts were blue end to end?

Not sure what holes your referring too but most likely it's just a matter of washing the damn thing lol.
