Is there a rivet that will not have the center hole and that will or can fit more flush with the metal..like a rivet used in aircraft.
And work in pop rivet tool..
I want to do the work while on the truck so I would like to be able to use the pop rivet tool.
Or is there another way to fasten rivets with our removing metal
thanks

ya there is one without a center hole but you have to hammer it flat, there isnt one that will fit in a rivet gun, if you dont want teh hole jsut buy a bucket of bondo and fill in around it or jsut jb weld to fill the little hole

Yes, but it's not able to be done with a regular rivet gun, you need a special gun made for them.

They're called Huck Rivets, and need you need to be able to access the backside of what your working on in order to install them. Rather then pull the stud and expand the rivet to hold, the hucks squeeze a flanged collar around the stud from the backside.

Thank you

I will check this out..and see if a rental place has a gun or what I can learn on Google...Thank you....

there is no such thing as a solid rivet that can be pulled or bucked with a river puller. They all have a stem. Even solid rivets will need filler over them to hide them. There is a brand called CherryMax that breaks the stem in the rivet and locks in place when the stem breaks off. Personally as a long time aircraft structural mech, I would never use rivets on automotive body work as they will eventually work loose. If you did go that route you need monel rivets. Rivets are a bad choice for autobody work, but great for aircraft.
