Looking at summit gears. Is there really a difference in R&P sets? I mean is one brand really stronger than the other? :dunno: Or is it worth the extra $$$ for a different brand?

From what I've seen, cheaper gears tend to have poor tooth contact patterns. This can affect the gear's strength (and may make them noisier as well).

I'd stick with brands like Precision Gear, US Gear, as well as OEM stuff. Yukon gears generally seem to be decent, too.
