My pass side rear rim is stuck almost like a weld to the truck. It will not budge, i think i could drive it around all day long without nuts and nothing would happen. Ive hammered on it like no ones business, got underneath and went on kicking sprees, shook it until i almost passed out, torch, pentrating oil,...and nothing at all.
The only thing i have not tried yet is maybe putting a jack behind it somehow and pushing it off?

Can anyone give me some ideas.. and if this has happened to you and you found a way to do it.. please how did you do it haha. thank you.

Take you a BFH and pound on the tire. Not recommended, but that's what i'd do.

get a deal blow hammer and hit the rim as you spin it. but make sure its a deal blow hammer anything else will bend the rim

What I did for most vehicles that had this problem. Take a 2x4 about 2~3ft long and a 3~5lb sludge hammer. Place the 2x4 on the rim, not the tire, and pound away.

I have already tried just about all of that. This things really stuck on there. I really kicked the crap out of it which should have deffinatly got it off. The hammering was difficult in such small space i was spliting wood in half becuase i was hamering so hard.

Hammer to the tire is what we do with heavy truck tires. Backing the lug nuts off so that they just snug (hand tight) and slowly driving up/down your driveway might do it aswell.

Whichever method you decide, remember safety first and always be careful. No need to take a hammer to the forehead or shin.

I like this idea. Slamming on the brakes, basically locking them up usually does it as well.

Other than that, a BFG hammer does the trick, but like he said, be careful. Hitting the tire can bounce it back and hit you...:black_eye:

+1 for putting the lug nuts back on it, but leave them loose, and drive it. Drive over a curb with about a 8 inch drop and it should pop loose. Don't get to crazy and make the wheel come flying off!!!! LOL!

tyler just out of curiosity and for safetys safe you mentioned you took a torch to it? hope it didnt damage the structural integrity of the rim.

run it with no lug nuts.. everything will be fine.

spray CLR or draino around the center hole..................if its an aluminum rim. let it sit and then lightly tap from the back side with a piece of wood.

Get MAPP gas and a good MAPP gas torch head. Trust me, it will come off. It will pop off (you'll hear it pop).
