I'm wanting to order a set of 15" rims for my 90 xcab ranger. I want to run some MT DR's on the rear. I'm not sure what's the widest 15" rim and backspacing I can run though. I don't mind trimming the fender lip. Im thinking of running some 25"-26" tall tires on the rear and some regular street tires on the front. So, basically what's the widest and safest rims and tires I can run on the rear ? The tires will tuck under the lip so I'm not wanting to jack up the rear to let them stick out the side. Thanks.

widest rim is a 10'' with 5.5 backspacing. unless you move your leafs inside the fram then you can get away with a 12'' wide rim. I've ran 10'' wheels with a 295 50 15, then went to 17's and now am back to 15x8's with a 295 65 15 m/t drag radial. All I've done to my bed is trim the lip.
