I have a 97 ranger that had bad auto hubs. I just replaced them with some cheap rugged ridge hubs. My 4x4 engages great now but when I brake going perfectly straight, my right front tire locks up for like 1/2 a second, makes a poping sound and then releases. It only happens when in 4 wheel and if i brake very lightly, it doesnt happen. does anybody have any idea what it could be? thanks a lot. i wasn't sure if this was the hubs or brakes so sorry if its miscategorized.

Are you on a snowy surface? My truck kinda does the same thing i think it is ABS but im not sure. I own a 1994 reg cab long box with a 3.sl0w and manual hubs i haven't seen any wired wear in the hubs so i didnt worry about it.
