reverse light bulbs are good, and harness seems intact. Reverse lights do not come on at all.

no wiring for the back up switch either

Here's the location of the back-up light switch on your truck. You should have a fuse for it too.

Last time I’d crawled under there, the connector for it was missing and the actual back up switch itself was broken

Also doubt that it’s the fuse, because my brake lights/turn signals work

That would prevent them from working. Replace switch and repair wiring as needed.

Well if the switch is broken and the wiring is missing, that is going to be the problem. The turnsignals and the back-lights are fed with the same fuse, the brake lights are on a different fuse.

Good flashlight and some duct tape will fix you right up :)
Although inconvenient to get out and turn the flash light on when you need to backup

Wait...........maybe thats why Ford installed a Reverse switch on the transmission, very clever these Americans

Thanks guys! I’ll be visiting the junkyard soon to grab the wiring and a backup switch. Definitely will be interesting to reconnect the wiring

Just the 2 wires, there is no polarity on the switch, can't be wired up wrong
One wire has 12v with key on
Other wire goes to Reverse bulbs

When trans is in Reverse the switch connects the 2 wires together, "let there be light" :)
