Hi I am new here and just got my Ranger a few weeks ago. It is a 1993 2.3 with a five speed with almost 95000 miles. I put about 700 miles on it and now when I go to put it in reverse it grinds. All other gears work fine and it shifts fine. Any clue? The tranny is full and the clutch res. is full. Thanks for the help.

Hello

On my 88 stang 5.0l 5 speed it does that. I throw it into 5 th gear then reverse and no more grinding. Its not a fix but keeps it from grinding.

Double clutching doesn't work? Just means letting the clutch out in neutral then pushing it back in and shifting into reverse.
