Fun fact: More people have been killed in Teslas than Pintos... and there were WAAAAAAAAAY more pintos made than Teslas. So ummm...

The pintos bad name is not really that it was unsafe but how ford handled the recall. If you look at the actual numbers of deaths vs cars sold. The pinto was a pretty safe car, technically safer than a Tesla. Elon Musk is just waaaaay better at cover ups then Lee Iacocca.

When batterys get exposed to heat they explode
