I changed the bulbs in my gauge and to scraped the green off the the gauge I had to remove the needles. What's the easiest way to set the needles back in the correct place?

Good luck. Especially with the fuel gauge...

I didn't Mark or note mine when i pulled em for the reverse-glows. I let it warm up for 10min, had it running, and set em all to where the needed to be. The fuel gauge on the other hand has no relationship with the actual amount of fuel in the tank.
I don't get it... Ever notice it'll sit on full forever and it depends on the vehicle on how long it'll sit on E before it dies...

Most of the needles are easy to set. The speedo is the only one that will be a challenge

1. Read over this: http://www.therangerstation.com/Magazine/spring2009/odometer.htm

2. Hooked up to a new D-size Rayovac (I'm Cheap), the speedometer will rise from 0 to about 70-72mph. Use that as your baseline for setting your speedometer. Play with the needle, and you will get it really close to exact.

3. Install your cluster in your truck without the clear bezel. Idle your truck until it has warmed and the idle has settled. Install the tach, temp, oil pressure, and power needles.

4. The last step is to top your truck off at the gas station. Install the fuel needle just past the F mark.

This should get you close enough to the factory settings to be used normally.
