I just ordered and received a set of Brembo rotors for the front of my BII, which seems to want to warp every rotor I buy (okay - cheap!). The Brembo's were $26 each with shipping. When they arrived . . . made in Mexico. Just where can one GET made in the USA or Canada rotors? (Not just drilled and/or coated Chinese brakes, like many of the "performance" rotors, but actually made.)
Also, has anyone actually had a set of rotors cryo treated? If so, any success in eliminating the eventual warping?

Back about 20 years ago when I was running an import shop I ordered a pair of Rotors from my auto parts supplier for my own car.
Being tired at the time I didn't specify that I wanted Girling rotors and the counterman ordered them from Beck-Arnley (an import supplier)
what came inside the Blue Beck-Anrley boxes were red and white Brembo boxes and rotors proudly stamped "Fabrique en Italia"
I called the counterman back and told him to get TEN pairs
immediatly and to invoice them to me and if he would to stock
ten additional pairs in the store that I'd take them over the next month.
At the time the italian made Brembo rotors were the best money
could buy.
After mounting them up and putting a quick truing cut ona brembo rotor they were still 1.5mm over the saab specificed maximum thickness... that was just fine with me...
They were also the most warp resistant rotors I ever had.
I NEVER had any customer comebacks with them
Most warping issues are related to proper brake function
(clean release) and careful bed-in proceedure.
IF you keep warping rotors check the condition of the inner pad thrust surface on the steering knuckle.
It's likely the knuckle is worn.
