I cracked my block due to being stupid (left pure water in the cooling system, thinking I would have to drain it, but it got cold before I did it, and the block cracked).
So now i'm taking it apart in my garage, so I can buy just a block. It's been a while since I've worked on an engine. Is the camshaft in the block, or in the head? It's a 95 2.3. I'm hoping I can find a block in a junkyard.
Also, I want to change the rear end, for a higher ratio. I'd like to have limited slip. Does anyone know what I need to ask for at the junkyard? My truck is a 95 Mazda 2300, and I don't know yet the kind of rear end it has.
What can I expect to pay for a 2.3 block, and a LSD 3.73?
