the latch failed on my truck and the hood blew up all the way back denting the cab top and both the hood and hinges and all bent and does not close. Is it possible to replace the hinges or am I stuck just trying to bend back in place, or it if there is other fixes as well.

thanks

in order to replace you have to drill the spot welds that hold them to the firewall. ive seen a few guys just cut the hinges and install hood pins, but its a pain in the a$$ to open the hood.

well when I looked at the hinge there was what looked like caulking from around the edges of the bracket. is it possible that some sort of glue/adhesive was used instead of welding because I don't see any welding around the perimeter
