I'm trying to get a new shifter for my 98' M/T Ranger. What is the "technical" term for the part that bolts onto the top of the transmission, with the shaft that the actual stick gets clamped onto so I can search for a new one?

Thanks.

I don't recall what ford calls it, but I've always called a shifter stub lever.

What is wrong with yours that you want a new one?

I've never seen one with anythign wrong with it, but the parts around it
wear out all the time (on different trucks)

get a hurst. youll love this mod.
