replaced the carb on my 2.8 now it runs weird

i replaced the carb with a 2 berrel holley and now it runns weird when i start out it tryes to die its kinda difficult to keep running untell its rolling but if i hold the gas down it slowly climbs in rpms tell about 2 1/2 grand then it stopes choking on its self and goes just fine but it also iddles rough ??????

Put in a new PCV and check for vacuum leaks.

thats the thing the carb only has like 3 maybe 4 vacume hoses if its lucky

check what size jets it has the holly's have to run a little big, they won't run on 50's mine has 57's before i got it to run right.

Actually the 2.8 likes to run a little rich also. If your using the stock spacer it may have vacuum leaks out the passenger side on the base of the carb The felpro spacer # 60529 may do the trick and put a new gasket between the carb and spacer.

its got a brand new gasket and it has i new after market spacer to go with it it was done at ford and then i swaped the motor after mine blew a piston and now its doing it i think it might be the fule pump how much do 57s run ?
